Building Maestro — Entry 001 🗒️
From a Question to a Marketing Teammate
Welcome to Building Maestro — a weekly behind-the-scenes look at what we’re building, breaking, and learning as we create the first true AI marketing teammate.
This isn’t a launch series. It’s a build log. A transparent window into the decisions, doubts, rewrites, and wins that happen as we try to turn a single question — “What should I do next?” — into something intelligent enough to answer it.
We’re Not Just Building a Tool ⚒️
We’ve spent the past few months in the thick of building what we believe is the first true AI marketer.
Not a tool. Not a feature.
A teammate.
Something that can look at your content, your goals, your budget — and actually think with you.
This started with a question we’ve been hearing (and asking) for years:
“I’m dropping a song / a product / a project next week... what should I do?”
There wasn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. And in the spirit of wanting to give every artist a response that actually fits, we started building one.
We call it Maestro.
It’s still early, still learning. But here’s what it can already do:
Build an ad campaign from scratch in chat — no dashboards, no setup
Scan your content and tell you what’s worth promoting
Break down what’s working for other creators in your space
Generate a strategy based on your goals, timeline, and budget — even if you’re starting from zero
What We're Really Building 🧱
Yes — Maestro writes ad copy and assembles campaigns.
But what we’re really building is judgment.
The kind that understands what to do — and why.
That can look at your goals, your budget, your timing, and say: “Here’s what actually makes sense next.”
Right now, our focus is on making the chat smarter. Not more technical.
Smarter like:
“How do I market this without sounding corny?”
“What do I do if I don’t have any budget this week?”
“What’s actually worth my time?”
We’re not just building support tools.
We’re building a system that can do what a marketing team would do — if you had one.
Strategize, plan, test, adapt. All inside a single chat thread.
Why we’re telling you this now 🤨
We didn’t want to wait until it was “done.”
We’ve all seen the big product reveal moment. That’s not this.
This is us saying: we’re in it right now.
Some weeks we’re solving meaningful problems.
Other weeks we’re staring at blank docs and rewriting prompts from scratch.
But we’re building something we believe could shift how creators grow — and we want you to see the process as it happens.
You’ll see unfinished thinking.
You’ll see us change our minds.
You’ll probably see a few things break.
But hopefully, you’ll also see something new take shape — in real time, with people who care.
Heard in the Chat 🎙️
Every week, we’re hopping on calls with users who are deep in the trenches of marketing, testing Maestro, and shaping where it goes next.
This one’s from a convo with Blake, a marketer managing multiple artists:
“Maestro stunned me. I’ve used ChatGPT for strategies before, but this just skipped the setup — it knew what I needed. My artists are blown away. It’s letting me manage more clients with fewer team members.”
“And honestly, I could trust my artists to use it themselves — they won’t get lost.”
We also got feedback on:
What makes Maestro feel better than GPT
What needs tweaking (like the ad setup process — already on it)
Why step-by-step content strategy in PDF format would be a game-changer
Big thanks to Blake for keeping it real and helping push this thing forward.
