Meet Echo. She runs your fan list.
The third of your team. She owns the CRM, knows who is on it & writes the emails that go out.
Your fans want to hear from you directly. An email in their inbox, from you. That direct line is a fan list, and it is the one part of your audience that is fully yours. Every name on it is someone who handed you their email because they wanted in.
You already met Maestro, who sets the play, and Simmy, who runs the ads. Echo is your CRM and fan intelligence specialist. She owns the fan list, the segments, and the fan email campaigns, so the audience you built stays yours to reach.
The shape of it: you tell Maestro what you want, he briefs her, and she builds the list, cuts it into groups worth talking to, drafts the email or the SMS blast in your voice, and shows it to you before anything sends. Results come back through Maestro, in your thread.
Nothing goes out until you say so.
Here is the whole job:
CAPABILITY: Your Fan List
CAPABILITY: Segments
CAPABILITY: Fan Personas
CAPABILITY: One Email Or The Whole Rollout
CAPABILITY: Emails In Your Voice
CAPABILITY: Social to Drafts
CAPABILITY: Send and Schedule
CAPABILITY: List Hygiene
CAPABILITY: Your Fan List
One list, in one place, that belongs to you.
Echo builds it from a CSV or a paste out of wherever your fans currently live, an export from whatever email tool you were using before, and pre-save signups going forward. Everyone on it got there because they actually gave you their email, which is why it keeps working after an algorithm changes its mind.
In practice: your pre-save is collecting emails right now, and Echo imports the older list on top of it, so one list holds everyone instead of two lists holding half each.
CAPABILITY: Segments
A list of five thousand is not five thousand of the same person.
Echo cuts it by the things that change what you would say: your high value fans, drawn from who pre-saved and who opens and clicks after a send, where someone came from, whether that was a pre-save or an import or your site, what city and country they are in and where they cluster, and which release they pre-saved.
Echo is deep diving into who your fans are:
Their Instagram and TikTok
How many followers they have
The artists they listen to
The tracks they play most
In practice, your pre-savers land in one group, your catalog listeners in another, and whichever country shows up most on your list gets one of its own. Three different messages instead of one blast to everyone.
CAPABILITY: Fan Personas
This is the part that changes how you write everything else.
From the real fans on your list, Echo builds personas, pictures of who your fans actually are. To get there she analyzes:
What they listen to besides you
Where they are
How they found you
What they already showed up for
Each one saves as a group you can actually write to, so the picture is never just a slide in a deck.
One line worth knowing: this is analysis of the people on your list, the ones whose emails you have. If you want to know who is listening on Spotify, the playlists, the listener geo, what people are saying, that is Maestro’s lane, not hers. Ask him and he will bring it.
CAPABILITY: One Email Or The Whole Rollout
One email is easy. Echo can also run the whole rollout.
Take one release: an announce to the full list on Tuesday morning, a pre-save push on Friday to the people who opened but have not saved yet, and a release-morning email that hits your pre-savers first.
She drafts each one, you approve, she schedules, and Maestro keeps the plan on track.
Every send goes to a different group, and that is exactly what the segments are for.
CAPABILITY: Emails In Your Voice
She writes as you, not about you.
Echo scans your socials to understand your voice, how you talk and what you talk about, then keeps the email short with one clear thing to do and real links only. No strategy language, no label newsletter voice, nothing a fan would read and know a marketer wrote it.
Release morning reads like you wrote it on your phone, first person, one link to the streaming page, and that is the entire email.
The best fan email is usually a moment that already happened.
Echo scans your recent Instagram and TikTok, finds a real moment worth an email, a drop or a show or a post that hit, and drafts one off it for you to review.
You post a studio clip, it does numbers, and the email is already sitting in Messages waiting on you.
CAPABILITY: Send and Schedule
Nothing goes out until you say so, and you see exactly what is going out.
Draft first
Optional test to your own inbox
Send now or schedule it
Every draft, email or SMS blast, waits for you under Messages (in app), and Echo shows every link and every image verbatim before anything leaves, so there are no surprises in a fan’s inbox.
“Send the release email Tuesday 9am ET to everyone who pre-saved.” You confirm, she schedules it, and the stats come back under Messages.
CAPABILITY: List Hygiene
A list you own is a list you have to keep clean.
Echo handles:
Unsubscribes, reversible rather than a hard delete
What is drafted versus what already sent
Exactly who receives a send, resolved at send time
Fan email runs one way, so a fan can reply STOP and that works, but nothing comes back as an inbox for you to manage.
Ask her if there are any unreviewed drafts and she surfaces them.
Echo builds the list, cuts it into people you recognize, writes to them the way you talk, and waits for your yes.
You own the list. That is the part nobody can take.
